Color your World: Eggplant

Taken somewhere in Hokkaido… Don’t know it’s name!

Deer

Oh dear, we don’t find deer in Hong Kong…  I dig into my photo library for the past years and I’ve found this one…

This young deer welcomed us in Hokkaido in front of a hotel we stayed…  What a nice host!

Crane

This week’s challenge is crane…  The only time I had close contact with crane was last year in Hokkaido.  We went to a red-crowned crane farm.  Unfortunately it’s not winter time and I didn’t have a chance to watch them dancing…

One Word Photo Challenge: Color

The first thing came out from my mind for this challenge is the flowers…  God painted the world with colorful flowers.

This photo was taken in Farm Tomita in Hokkaido, Japan last year.  Hope you like it…:)

Wet Day in Shichiku Garden

There are so many beautiful gardens in Hokkaido…  The first one we visited was Shichiku Garden.  It had been raining heavily that morning.  Fortunately, when we arrived, the rain stopped…  It was wet.

All these drops dressed up the flowers with lights and reflections…  What a surprise!

Let me take a wedding picture for you two…

What a romantic moment…  This picture was taken in Hinode Park of Furano in Hokkaido. This park is a famous place for taking wedding pictures for brides and bridegrooms.

Misty Kiritappu Wetland

First time to this Kiritappu Wetland area in Hamanaka-cho, Akkeshi District in Hokkaido… It’s also called the Wetland of flowers because numerous flowers can be found in summer time.

It is a huge flower bed…  The wooden boardwalks are great for visitors to walk thru and enjoy the magnificent view of the nature beauty!

Back to Biei, Hokkaido after 8 years…

The first time I visited Hokkaido was summer 2007…  That was the first time we traveled with three generations in my family, my parents, my uncle, my sisters’ family, my cousins and all our kids.  What a group!

I visited Hokkaido last week with my two friends…  We stayed in Biei the first night.  We drove thru the patchwork roads where we visited in 2007.  There are some difference, but not much.

Ken & Mary Tree in 2015

We stayed in the Pension Ken and Mary just across the road of the tree.

Not far away from Ken & Mary Tree, we saw the Seven Stars Tree…

Then we found the Parent & Child Tree, the three trees that stay together for years no matter how tough the weather would be, just like parents taking care of their kid days and nights, years after years…

All these beautiful patchwork roads brought me a lot of memories…  My Dad passed away in 2009.  I was glad that we made the trip in 2007 so that he could enjoy the wonderful scenery together with all of us, his beloved family.  I miss you Dad…
