Autumn/Fall

When I think about Autumn/Fall, I think about the changing color of leaves…  In Hong Kong, we don’t have much to see given that our weather is still very warm in November.  However, in the northern countries like Japan and Korea, we find beautiful red leaves…

This picture was taken years ago in South Korea… and more photos are found in the blog I wrote about that trip.  Well, it’s written in Chinese, but I’m sure you like the photos!

Light…

This photo was taken on July 19 earlier this year, the seventh day after the death of Mr. Liu Xiaobo, the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize winner.   He won the Nobel Peace Prize for his long and non-violent struggle for fundamental human rights in China.  He was the first Chinese citizen to be awarded a Nobel Prize of any kind while residing in China.

This candle light symbolized Mr. Liu’s continuous struggle in human rights and it will never dim even he left us…  People will continue to fight for freedom and hope for the better future…

I like this crystal ball…  It can make the world upside down!

Our world is getting upside down with all these political changes these days…  I do hope that we can have our own crystal ball.  Don’t you agree with me?

Landscape

Kazakhstan, I’ve never been there…  However, I visited Baihaba Village few weeks ago.  This village is right on the border between China and Kazakhstan.  And we can see the Kazakhstan side from the mountain!

Lake

I visited Xinjiang last two weeks and passed by many beautiful lakes and met wonderful people there…

Aren’t they pretty?

Journey

I was in Taiwan two weeks ago…  We went up to Alishan trying to take some photos of the clouds.  Unfortunately, the weather was not too good.  We then went shopping near one of the old railway stations.

I went into the museum next to the old rail and I found the train that used to run on this route.

This looked familiar and I remember I took a picture with this type of train last time when I visited Alishan in 1971.

Time flies…  What a memory!  I’m older and hopefully wiser.  But this type of train is now displaying in the museum.  It no longer brings people from one place to other. But it brings us history and a lot of memory…

Well, to me, life is just a journey that everyone of us goes thru! Isn’t it?

Island

Hong Kong Island, I think, is one of the busiest islands in the world…  It’s a financial centre. It’s crowded.  It has a lot of energy both days and nights…

Hong Kong

Hong Kong is my home…  I was born and raised up here.

I love Hong Kong!  Come and visit us!

Insect

I started to appreciate more on God’s creation since I learned photo-shooting butterflies…

The Yellow Costers (Acraea issoria) have whole lifespan only by days from eggs to caterpillars to cocoons to butterflies.  However, they are beautiful…

We don’t have to live long…  We need to enjoy our lives God planned for us!  Shouldn’t we?

Hummingbird

I met this pretty bird last May in San Jorge Eco-lodge in Tandayapa, Ecuador, first time in my life…

Thanks Luis Alcivar for teaching me how to shoot them.  What a memory!

Home Sweet Home

I was about to leave the hotel last Friday, I discovered this beautiful moment…

The bird mother was feeding her babies in their nest.  Isn’t it sweet?
