Family…

Would love to share with you the picture of the cat family used to stay in our garage…  Two cat mothers carried seven kittens.  We adopted three kittens and gave the other four to two other families.

Now the kittens are almost four years old… living happily in our home.  They are key members of our family…:)

One Word Photo Challenge: Cow

Living in a busy city like Hong Kong, it is not easy to find cow walking on the road…

However, if you are lucky, you will meet with them, not only one, but the whole family walking back home on the road after lunch…:)

Happy faces in Phnom Penh…

Every time when I visit a foreign country, I like to go to their local market to understand more about the local lives…

In Phnom Penh,  we walked around the market and found a lot of colourful fruits, all looked sweet and tasty!  It’s evening, people were busy picking up food for their dinner.

 Busy street…

On the other side of the market, there’s a park.  People were enjoying lives in their own way…

Playing chess game…

 What a happy family…

Kids and the monkey…

  And our disco queen!

Back to Biei, Hokkaido after 8 years…

The first time I visited Hokkaido was summer 2007…  That was the first time we traveled with three generations in my family, my parents, my uncle, my sisters’ family, my cousins and all our kids.  What a group!

I visited Hokkaido last week with my two friends…  We stayed in Biei the first night.  We drove thru the patchwork roads where we visited in 2007.  There are some difference, but not much.

We stayed in the Pension Ken and Mary just across the road of the tree.

Not far away from Ken & Mary Tree, we saw the Seven Stars Tree…

Then we found the Parent & Child Tree, the three trees that stay together for years no matter how tough the weather would be, just like parents taking care of their kid days and nights, years after years…

All these beautiful patchwork roads brought me a lot of memories…  My Dad passed away in 2009.  I was glad that we made the trip in 2007 so that he could enjoy the wonderful scenery together with all of us, his beloved family.  I miss you Dad…

Precious Time with our Cats

It’s so excited to find many bloggers love cats, our furry friends.  One of the reasons why I started learning photography is to capture the precious moments for our cats. Read nty6x’s blog yesterday and learned the ways of taking picture for cat.  I’m not there yet…  However, I would love to share some of the pictures I took for them!  They are one big family…:)

Mother’s Triumph

Every April, the Miao ethnic group in Guizhou celebrate the so-called “Sisters” festival.  All the girls in the nearby areas will dress up formally with all their silver jewelry and head ornaments dancing in a parade along the main street of the town.  The main purpose is to make herself the prettiest to attract the boys…  The heavy silver ornaments are to show off the wealth of their family.

The mothers are busy to make sure their girls are the best…  This is the day of the mothers’ triumph!

Introducing My Family

I’ve moved to this home four years ago with my husband and our cat Dicky…  Two years ago Dicky left us at 17+ years of age.  Just a few months before Dicky left, we’ve found a street cat with two babies playing around our place.  This is where our family grow…

After two years, this cat family grew up to 25 members…  Some passed away, some got adopted. And now we have three of them in our house, four of them preferred to stay on the street but come back for food, water, toilet, and place to rest.
